Terms of Service
Welcome to cScore. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our music‑education platform, including web and mobile applications (collectively, the “Service”). By registering for or using the Service, you agree to these Terms in full. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Description of Service
cScore provides tools for music teachers and students to track lessons, record performances, generate summaries, and analyse practice data. Features may include AI‑powered practice recommendations, progress reporting, and content organization.
3. User Accounts & Obligations
To use certain features, you must register for an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, up‑to‑date information;
- Keep your login credentials confidential;
- Comply with all applicable laws and these Terms;
- Use the Service only for lawful, personal, or educational purposes;
- Accept responsibility for all activity under your account.
4. Subscriptions & Payment
The Service is offered on a subscription basis. You will be billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis, as selected during signup. All fees are non‑refundable except as required by law. Payment is processed securely by our third‑party provider, Stripe, Inc. By providing your payment information, you authorize cScore to charge your chosen payment method through Stripe until you cancel. Your use of Stripe’s payment services is subject to Stripe’s Services Agreement and Privacy Policy.
5. Free Trials
We may offer a limited free trial. Trial access requires payment details. Trial users will automatically convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial ends. Trial periods and terms may vary.
6. Cancellation & Termination
You may cancel your subscription at any time via your Account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; no prorated refunds will be issued. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access for violations of these Terms.
7. Refunds
Except as required by law, all subscription fees are non‑refundable. If you believe a billing error has occurred, please contact support@cscore.app.
8. Use of AI‑Generated Content
When you use AI features (e.g., performance summaries), your inputs may be transmitted to third‑party providers (such as OpenAI) for processing. You are solely responsible for ensuring no sensitive or protected data (PHI, PII, etc.) is submitted. Review those providers’ policies for details.
9. Intellectual Property
All content and software provided by cScore are owned by or licensed to us. You retain ownership of any content you submit or create via the Service. By submitting content, you grant cScore a worldwide, royalty‑free license to display, store, and otherwise use it to operate and improve the Service.
